Oops A Daisy

Post  Robyn_Levers on Mon Feb 23, 2009 1:45 am

This was a story I heard in a visitors centre.....

A womans hubby had asked her to find a penpal for his padmate (apparantly he was single)
Anyway, none of her mates were interested so she put his name on a website trawling for someone to write to him. It only turns out that his WIFE saw this advertisement and started to write to him under a blag name! He got caught hook line and sinker. Laughing

Laughing sorry but I think it's hysterical Laughing I've heard so so many of these stories and so so many people say that their partners and other halfs don't write to anyone but them. I actually write to married men in prison and there's nothing in it but friendship. Lets get real, it would be pretty boring just writing to one person huh. Rolling Eyes

my boyfriend got caught out doing this about 6 mths ago. I think its tempting for anyone locked up but as long as they dont visit him im not bothered. letters are something that they all do i think.

Tut tut Admin! Honesty is the best policy so they say.
I write to my hubby and five other men of which he knows about may I add. Two of my penpals have wifes and families as well. I don't see anything wrong with it if it is kept on a purely platonic basis.
I know I'm the only visitor my hubby has so if he wishes to write to someone else then that's up to him. I'd hope he'd tell me though as I hide nothing from him. No

Yep I agree Robyn. It's all about honesty. I don't feel guilty penning to married men, I'm doing nothing wrong apart from offering friendship. I'm not interested in going to visit them, they have their families for that and rightly so.

Hi Tina

I've moved the topic to here as I think you are quite right and I am sorry if this subject has offended you.
Unfortunetely, this type of thing does go on hunni and it's a subject many won't discuss because of the fear of it.

I've heard some crazy stories too. If you trust your man then there's no need to question him. I wouldn't be happy finding out he was writing to someone else but how would we know anyway.
As long as his VO's keep coming my way then I'm happy. If I found out someone else was visiting him then there would be all hell let loose. Evil or Very Mad

I wouldn't say it's cheating hun. First and foremost, how can it be?
I will say though that it can be classed as deceiptful if they are writing on the sly to someone else.
I think if you're on this HMP rollercoaster then you have to have an open mind about anything. Suspect
